Healthcare Rescue Centre (Kenya), a NGO was founded by a group of young healthcare professionals who felt that there was need to address health issues affecting the marginalized community especially in the rural areas and slums. While the government spends millions of shillings each year, there is still never enough to reach all citizens with quality healthcare, thus need to have affordable, accessible and quality healthcare. As an organization, our main aim is to make healthcare affordable and accessible to the millions of people in the rural areas and slums through all means possible. Our long term aim is to come up with clinical posts in different levels of the community staffed with full time qualified staff in order to meet the major gap in existing in healthcare provision in rural areas. We are also aiming to improve socio-economic status of the people who are in need of helping hand to improve the standard of living so that they may in turn serve the country more effectively.
